I spoke about what I experienced in NY on 9/11 with my students last year during student teaching so they could understand *gestures to world* and I was absolutely wrecked all day. I hadn’t spoken about it in many years before that, and I don’t think I will this year. The grief is still so heavy.

As someone who is herself disabled and works/worked in K12, there is no accommodations letter on earth you could send me that would frighten me! I’ve seen poorly-written IEPs demand things you couldn’t dream of. There is no reason my profs had to be such assholes when I needed reasonable accoms.
