I spoke about what I experienced in NY on 9/11 with my students last year during student teaching so they could understand *gestures to world* and I was absolutely wrecked all day. I hadn’t spoken about it in many years before that, and I don’t think I will this year. The grief is still so heavy.

Women in anthropology and archaeology are already underrepresented in academic publication and tenure-track roles in North America. I also can’t believe I’m saying this but we need to look to the UK for inspiration on giving women experts a regular tv platform.
