Drawing is a powerful way to make learning stick! ✏️ Research shows it boosts learning by making us process information in multiple ways: visually, kinesthetically, and linguistically.

Word problems can feel like a lot for young learners. That’s where CUBES comes in: a step-by-step scaffold to help get them started. 🧱 Remember: It’s just one tool in their toolkit, not the whole toolbox. Keep pushing them to reason through the actual math, but starting with CUBES can help.

It depends who you are learning from. It is important to seek out the educators who believe that before you ask “How can I use AI?” ask “SHOULD I use AI?” Always start with your intention first. Pedagogy first. There are many of us who start there & champion literacy.

He does address how when used as a substitute for thinking, it absolutely has a negative impact, which is why it is so important the students learn how it can be used as a tool and NOT as a shortcut. We need to educate them on this so we don’t replace critical thinking.

How to pick just one?😂 Anything by Mark Twain, The Catcher in the Rye, Poor Richards Almanack, The Bonfire of the Vanities, The Godfather, The Right Stuff, and Their Eyes Were Watching God. 🌟 All for different reasons, capture a slice of America & its soul.

One other bit of advice is that most books will be the standard size, but for longer picture books, or books like the big world record books, etc., you will need to order some of the big size covers too

I have had great luck with it and the thicker plastic covers are probably even better for my little learners who are quite rough on the books 😉

Not bad. I do it with Scholastic dollars. But my principal was so amused at how excited I was over this that he bought me a few boxes outside my budget! 💕 The company was also great. I got mine thru scholastic first, but it was warped from their warehouse, so the company worked with me to replace it

Rachel Lemansky @lemanskyrachel.bsky.social · 27/05/2026
I love mine. It takes a minute to get the hang of and get the covers nice and tight, but it’s a quick learning curve. Now I can cover at least 6 books in 10 minutes. It’s not as pretty as manually covered books…it’s a thicker plastic. But it looks nice enough & protects the books

Rachel Lemansky @lemanskyrachel.bsky.social · 27/05/2026
Me, friend! I have 0 time for library mngmnt, repair or book processing, yet I also have zero budget, so for every book I put on the shelf, I do it all. MARC record, labels, covers. While seeing 36 classes (over 800 S’s) on a fixed schedule each week. This is the only reason my books have covers! 😂
