I've gone through it a few times* and it's clear the two design goals were "comply with the law" and "placate conservatives." *(I've only done "Active Shooter" more times, because this is America and this company has had at least two shooter incidents since I started... one the next town over!)

My company's inclusivity training is so toothless that, despite giving examples it calls "potentially insensitive" (one is straight up racist and another is transphobic), it refuses to explicitly state what statement was wrong, why it was wrong, and why it matters to us all that it's not tolerated.

I honestly think the majority of cis people are upset by trans existence, especially nonbinary existence, because as children we were all told there were things we weren't allowed to do or be or feel or say because we were a girl, or because we were a boy. The temp of the inside is only relevant if it can maintain it (and thus shut down for a bit and stop adding heat to the room via electrical usage). If I'm modelling this right, that only lasts for a few hours before it cannot achieve 4C at all and runs continuously trying to get there.

I don't have an opportunity to sit down and actually crunch the math right now, but under the simplest model possible (i.e. not caring how the appliance or room functions differently at thousands of degrees and higher), you're simply turning electrical kWh to thermal energy in the total room volume.

It was originally *heavily* inspired by the first three seasons of RWBY, but it became its own thing over time as I leaned more into the generational campaign setting and figured out what I wanted to do with concepts like the Rangers (built up from the cowpunk setting) and ongoing political strife.

You tickled my memory with the "points of light" premise, as its foundations are actually a fantasy cyberpunk "future" of a fantasy cowpunk setting I'd written at 4e's advent. Most of humanity is leading near-future lives walled in Bastions because the world's swarmed with Void creatures.

Welcome to the World of Aurora, a campaign setting with a decidedly different tone than the classic tales of wizards and warriors. There are still mighty mages and warriors preserving civilization from beasts and those who would watch the world burn, make no mistake; it's just that those battles may involve bursts of machine gun fire from the back of a motorcycle as the heroes chase down a hijacked mechanized land-walker tank on a busy freeway, calling ahead for backup on their smartphones as they dodge thrown cars and summon angels to help.

I'd avoided tight shirts my entire life because they made me perceive my body. It's been a hell of a thing recalibrating that, and it wouldn't have been possible without transition, because I hadn't been able to parse that it felt like something was missing. Now it's there, and it feels great.
