Of all the stupid things this govt has done, this is in the top 5 at least. OOH take up more planning resources, increase car dependency,increae public service costs, cause more pollution and prevent future development. OOH is one of the big reasons why its so hard to get big projects built here.

Western Europe Bakes! Pink dots are all-time records for May. I count at 30, but there are many more. Temps 15°C+ (almost 30F) above normal. For some areas a heatwave this extreme this early is without precedent, but climate change makes it much more likely, more intense and longer lasting.. 1/

1. London Underground station flooding has reportedly been reduced by around 90% thanks to a group of engineers: beavers. After conservationists reintroduced a family of beavers into a nearby city park, the animals built dams and restored wetlands that now absorb and slow floodwater naturally.
