If current tech has intelligence of any sort, then it has rights. If it has rights, then how we currently use it is tantamount to slavery and we should probably halt all current/future use/development until we develop an ethical framework for INVITING it to work with us. Honestly I think a lot of Bluesky related crashouts have more to do with social media’s decline in general. Elon made it harder for anyone who isn’t a Nazi to get engagement. Short-form video is now the primary medium and AI slop is everywhere. But it’s easier to get mad at Bluesky
