I'm back on the job application train after a summer of mental health recovery and man oh man, I hate it here. Cover letters why??? That said, there is a job I am actively excited about which is both great and terrible. I want to care but that means I will be disappointed if I am passed over!!

Mom fell at an event on Friday (in another state!!!) and we ended up at the ER for hours while she was in extreme (read: screaming regularly) pain for literal hours. She's okay, we're finally home, but holy hell my central nervous system is fucking shot.

Today I spent $48 on thrift store pants that retail for $240 and my friends, I am sorry to say that I can tell the difference. Sometimes expensive pants are better!! Argh!!! (They are such good pants. I am in love with these pants. Who cares that they will attract cat hair like a magnet!?)

I am channeling my inner MN farmwife and making a salad of canned oranges, cool whip, jello, and marshmallows. Orange creamsicle cold dessert! The summeriest! Also deviled eggs and burgers on the grill and, off-brand but delicious, an Asian smashed cucumber salad.
