I feel certain that in the last 2 years I’ve read something pushing back on the idea that Augustan art/literature is “propaganda” on the grounds that Augustus wasn’t centrally dictating the programme. Can anyone think what that might be? Now I can’t find it again! Especially interested in art!

Does anyone have a good system for absences and getting students caught up? I am sick, so many of my students are sick, and with Latin five days a week even a very brief illness puts them behind so fast. Also any suggestions for lots of students missing quizzes?
