If you were raised in the Southwest, as I was, mariachi speaks to your soul. Growing up it often seemed like every great human being I knew who was not family was Mexican. Most everything I learned about baseball, family, generosity, hard work I learned from Mexicans. I love this for the anthem.

Kristoffer is part of a new generation of wunderkinds, many of them lugging school backpacks and still wearing braces, that just might help save tomorrow’s internet. Idealistic and computer savvy, they are mastering the mysterious numerical codes that underpin the digital world in the hope of making the web a more secure place. The suspect, identified as Kristoffer Von Hassel, was located in the neighborhood where the vandalism incidents took place and was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and damage to property motivated by civil rights violations.

At the time of his arrest, sheriff’s officials said Von Hassel “was found in possession of a handheld electronic device capable of interacting with and analyzing certain wireless signals, including those used by some garage doors, gates and other access systems.”

Von Hassel is accused of drawing hate symbols and anti-Semitic graffiti at homes on Elm Avenue and Seacoast Drive on Sept. 13. He is also believed to be linked to additional graffiti scrawled at the home on Elm Avenue on Sept. 19, with more vandalism discovered in an alley behind the home.
