Ukrainian presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov confirms Elon Musk's Space X crippled Ukrainian capabilities last night. In other words, the US deliberately sabotaged European defence operations mid-mission. Every country in the world should move away from buying American hardware ASAP.

"I can confirm that tonight SpaceX has implemented a speed limit on Starlink terminals while in motion.

The limit currently applies to the StarShield “military package” and is set at 100 mph.

Our defense forces were not given notice of this limit, and this has resulted in the disruption of a number of missions.

It's legitimate for the EU, the UK, Canada and others to support their Ukrainian ally. If Musk is going to (in effect) assist Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine's allies should sanction Starlink, X and Tesla. At the very least, governments (and people) should stop using his fucking site already.

GiveWell makes explicit cost effectiveness estimates (based in part on those of the Disease Control Priorities report) for both organizations: ~$545 per infant death averted for Village Reach, and ~$150-750 per death averted for Stop TB. These are roughly comparable, but don't take into account the fact that Stop TB mainly treats adults, while VR mainly treats infants and children. I feel that adults are capable of deeper and more meaningful experiences than are infants, and also deeper connections with other people, so an adult death seems worse to me than an infant death (though both are of course bad). Trying to quantify exactly how much worse is very subjective and can also seem calculating ("how many babies would you kill to save an adult?i, but on a practical level one is forced to make difficult decisions with limited funds, and in my case I'd say that I think an adult death is perhaps 2 or 3 times worse than an infant's death. Thus, adjusted for my personal values, Id say that Stop TB is ~2-3 times more cost-effective than VR, though I understand that others may validly disagree with this subjective assessment.

It is said that things have always been this way, except for occasional pauses, and that it will always be so! As a result, the concern is no longer the search for peace —which has been lost as a point of reference on the international stage — but rather how and when to take military action. This same argument maintains that it would be irresponsible not to prepare for conflict. I would argue, however, that what is truly irresponsible is Realpolitik, the form of political "realism" that sows in consciences and in society an attitude of resignation to the inevitability of war, and dismisses peace and dialogue as utopian or irrational positions that ignore the risks at stake. Itselläni on tapana ajaa samaan toteutukseen useampia buginmetsästyksiä eri kielimallilla ja prompteilla. Ei toki täysin aukotonta, mutta usein pientä löytyy. Eilisessäkin tapauksessa yksi pieni virhe yhdessä suodattimessa, ei onneksi mitään kovin vakavaa. Enemmän tällaisessa luotan kuin itseeni.

Se on pohjimmiltaan ihan sama kuin Excel. Itsekin sitä joissain jutuissa käytän. On näillä toki käyttönsä (tässäkin tapauksessa siivosin Excelissä dataa manuaalisesti ennen tekoälyllä prosessointia), mutta vähenevä.

Sain eilen puoliltapäivin datasetin 8500 vastaajan laajasta aineistosta. Parissa tunnissa olin tehnyt siihen aivan älyttömän monipuolisen "analyysikoneen", joka toiminnoiltaan ja käytettävyydeltään päihittää kaikkia PowerBI:t, Excelistä puhumattakaaan. Ja on html, joten kenen tahansa käytettävissä.

Since returning to office, Trump has marveled at AI’s capabilities. He is increasingly in thrall to the tech executives courting him. In December 2025, Elon Musk returned to the Oval Office for a clandestine meeting. Trump spent hours asking Grok, Musk’s AI chatbot, questions about his presidency and legacy, according to an official present. At the time, Trump was ordering missile strikes against Venezuelan boats he alleged were smuggling drugs into the U.S. He asked Grok how Venezuelans would react if the U.S. captured Maduro. According to the official present, the chatbot responded that Maduro was a repressive and deeply unpopular dictator and that many Venezuelans would likely celebrate his downfall. After Trump ordered the mission to seize Maduro, the following month, celebrations broke out in the streets. Trump, according to officials, came away thinking Grok was ingenious.
