There have been a bunch of times since posting this "man or bear?" cartoon by me and @nadinescholtes.bsky.social that the comments on the cartoon have demonstrated conclusively that the cartoon is on target.

I remain unmauled or harmed in anyway from any of those bears.
Yet in my brief time on this world I have over two dozen instances or more where I have been threatened, assaulted, harrassed or violated by men. Many times by men I knew or trusted. One even was in training to be a cop.
I choose the bear every single time. I will always choose the bear. Period. Hands down. Bears are safer.
