The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

I’m working on a hat for @bardcoreducky.bsky.social usung a skein of wool they picked out at a local craft show. It it very soft. It will be a challenge not to steal it for myself.

Then I think about all the other art teacher I had that gave me platitudes like “oh, that’s so good,” or —even worse— critiqued my work, but didn’t give me any way to improve. I was told to “figure it out” a LOT.

Sometimes,I think about the awesome art teachers I had like Dr. Schunke in college or David and Larry that taught the life drawing class I took in high school. They taught me solid techniques and also taught me how and why those techniques worked. They made me immeasurably better at my craft.

I’m currently fighting with my printer/scanner, because it won’t scan if the printer part is out of ink. When I started drawing shit for the internet 20+ years ago, I had a Frankencomputer with an external secondary drive housed in a shoebox. Thinks are so immeasurably worse.
