I've always enjoyed books by Adam, especially Think Again, an absolute classic and worth reading multiple times.

Tech engineering normalized transparency (status pages, postmortems, bug disclosures) partly to encourage other industries to do the same. Decades later it’s backfired: people hear our issues but not their own industry’s, so they assume engineering is worse rather than more transparent.

Agents can write code all day, but running and iterating on it? Different story🫠 Aspire 13.2 adds structure and a real feedback loop for agents with code, not Markdown. @maddy.fm is here to share how Aspire gives your agent some bumpers 🎳 🔗 devblogs.microsoft.com/aspire/agent...

I'm going to keep playing with it. I assume it'll get better the more it does and the more I correct it. I was disappointed that I fixed a few bugs, told it I had done that and then it overwrote them.

I find it a bit weird that I have to wait for all the agent tasks to finish and then have to prompt "so what just happened?". Would rather the main agent tell me everything has finished and here's what happened. But maybe it's a limitation of copilot cli?

The front end dev agent created a set of new views, however made assumptions about the backend API. The backend dev agent created the APIs differently, e.g. frontend expected /api/feature/{...} But backend dev created

How hard can it be to build a browser from scratch for three platforms anyways? Apparently 20K lines of code and ~70 hours from first commit to last. emsh.cat/one-human-on... #llm #llms #ai #codex #openai

The latest entrant in the coding-agent-constructed web browsers is here, this one by @emsh.cat, and it's REALLY impressive - 3 days of development, 20,000 lines of Rust, no Cargo dependencies and it renders HTML+CSS extremely well simonwillison.net/2026/Jan/27/...

If you're a developer surrounded by people debating the utility of LLMs, you are being misled. The advent of agents decisively settles the conversation. The real question is: how do you ship software that leverages their power? I spent 2025 answering this question networkgames.fyi/the-year-eve...

Great read, very interesting. Where do you see this being particularly useful, rather than just a fancy wrapper around custom code? Will VS Code bicep extension pick up intellisense or will it show everything as being invalid syntax?

Chris you're absolutely right. A few months ago I built an internal webapp to enable testing, it used boring technology (Razor pages) and a little bit of JavaScript where interactivity was needed. I built it in no time at all, it's easy to deploy to a container app, no complex pipelines etc

Excellent read and one I completely agree with! SPAs have not delivered on their promises and lead to huge amounts of complexity with very little gain (especially for glorified CRUD applications)
