I have been rocking the K100 with the OPX switches and the Scimitar since early 2024. OPX has changed my relationship with keyboards. The last keyboard I used that was this good was a Model M. The mouse is a little underwhelming, but I still like it. Hate the cheap failure of a scroll wheel though.

Be me, browsing @corsair.com looking at iCUE stuff cause I have the Scimitar RGB Elite with the scroll wheel issue and their RMA required I loose my daily driver so I have to buy a new one instead... and I find the GALLEON 100 SD... cool except for the shitty MLX switches. Fucking dammit.

I am so sick of things going wrong... My brand new wheel hub from JC Whitney ate itself and my EBC brake rotor. I probably now have to replace my Brake Roter, Wheel hub, Wheel Bearing, and Axel Lock Nut. Fucking hell. I am not made of money.

Going to have to replace the other axel now. Have the parts, waiting on one tool... if this doesnt work, I dont have the money to redo the seals and the rebuild on the engine and transmission. (It has 178,000mi, it needs a rebuild. But a rebuild will get another 175-200k out of it.) She is worth it.

In August of 2025, two bearings from the passenger side CV found their solace in the center median of the highway. My car was towed home. I have struggled, scraped and forced getting tools, parts, and skills. Today she is finally back on the road.

Seven months ago my car failed safety. I worked and rebuilt the control arms so that she would be road worthy. When I got that done I was road testing and the front right axel had had enough. 176,000 miles was too much for the bearings. 1/

Lets be honest. It was IBMs fault. Cirrus Logic could do XGA from 1991. Before that sure... SVGA. But by `92 XGA should have been the standard. But I know I had monitors that didnt even properly support XGA till like `95 or `97.

This sounds like my brother. But he was in it for the bit. Especially if it got people worked up. It wasnt the angst or contrarianism for him. He liked using shock to get teachers to make people talk and discuss why our societal beliefs are a certain way.
