Excited to share our new paper, published in the European Journal of Neuroscience! 🧠⚡ We looked at whether healthy volunteers could learn to control their own sensorimotor beta activity using EEG neurofeedback:. Link: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... #neuroskyence #EEG #neurofeedback

Bidirectional EEG Neurofeedback of Sensorimotor Beta Oscillations Reveals Asymmetric Modulation and Strategy‐Dependent Learning
Healthy participants performed EEG-based neurofeedback (ENF) to modulate sensorimotor beta activity. Most successfully decreased beta, few increased it and learning varied by strategy, engagement and...

Another day at a science festival! 🔬 🎇 This time, we were with Explorer Dome and their giant brain. We spoke to children and adults about science and dementia inside the gian brain. Great fun, as usual! 🌞 #ScienceWeek #STEM #AlzheimersUK #PublicOutreach #UniversityOfPlymouth

Just wanted to share a teaching moment that made me smile. After my 4-hour stats lecture, I asked for feedback. Among the comments, two wrote: "Love a hydrated queen." It was validating that I managed to connect with students even during a heavy stats session! #Teaching #Stats #StayHydrated
Photo shows two blue post it notes. Note 1 says "The examples very helpful. Engaging and not boring. Love a hydrated queen!". Note 2 says "I find visual learning easier so really appreciated the examples and pictures of graphs. Love a hydrated queen =) Don't have anything bad to say."
