I’m calling on Gov Abbott to allow for voters to get registered through Election Day to make up for the absolute mess that has happened on his watch at the Texas Secretary of State’s office. Texans did their part. Republicans in charge screwed this up bigly. No one should lose their right to vote.

I am suing the NIH. As part of a class action with the ACLU and 16 other plaintiffs, we are challenging the thousands of unlawful grant terminations in an effort to get them all reinstated. Whatever happens, at the very least, no one can say I sat back and watched while they destroyed science.

The plan is to fund individual scientists directly and fast, and cut what universities are paid to support their research. In practice that means no infrastrucutre, no shared equipment, no lab manager, no institutional home if a study runs long or a result takes years to pan out.
