Finally got Bluetooth working on my new desktop PC. Who knew, that you had to plug in the WiFi antennas to use BT?! Not me. Anyway, along with my new PC, I bought Half Life: Alyx just for the occasion. Using my PSVR2 for the first time on PC. Look how uncool it makes anyone who wears it!

Great article on Xbox's refocusing on becoming a competitive platform in the gaming industry again under Sharma. I feel optimistic about Microsoft introducing competition. I feel I've seen signs Sony has become complacent again, á la the PS3 era.

What I've learnt, is yeah you 𝘤𝘢𝘯 design in #Framer.. but oh my god why would you. Half the time, the interface is conspiring against you. Sometimes hover works, sometimes ✨poof✨, the menu disappears! Sorry! You had to click before moving the mouse to the child dropdown menu, haha!

I find it interesting how, some of the best of design I think I've done for my current project have come from sudden inspiration I got after seeking out references. For the Blog page, I knew there's a 1000 and one ways to do it, but upon finding this on Awwwards, I instantly saw my way of doing it.

Blocky, colour blocks of dark grey background and very light beige cards for each blog post article link, with ample white space between the blog name and the cards. The cards have ample amounts of padding inside, around the content.

So tonight, after four years, I have finally found the hardware limits of my Surface Laptop Studio: Figma project open and Framer open, and then moving something in Framer. 😩 Adding Photoshop to the mix caused standstill. I think it's the 16 GB of RAM? But buying a desktop? In this economy?! 🤦🏼

Anyone who's run playtests, then had to design solutions based on player behaviour will be nodding their heads to this. It is diff-ic-ult. And then you'll always have that one guy that relentlessly clicks, constantly trying to move forward and gets angry and frustrated when reading is required.

Um-ing and ah-ing about how to zhuzh up this stats banner I've made, and it took me maybe 40 minutes to arrive at a styling that, when I was finished, I recognised as something I did for Gwent 6 years ago. 🤦🏼😆 Sometimes you have to drive around the entire block just to take the same exit.

Yeah, physical UI is always going to be superior to a digital one, due to the natural reliability of tactility. You don't need to look to use it. Mine is ~15 years old, but I haven't felt the need to replace it yet.

For the life of me, I simply cannot reason why Sony decided to eschew the universally agreed on off-white that every single white household object is made with, opting instead for a harsh, titanium white. I know they chose it deliberately. But I need to know WHY. What was the reason?! SONY EXBLAIN

I had a brain-wave a couple months ago, a day before it was to be released, to check up on the founder and if anyone was reporting on it, and then checked the day it launched. Nobody was. Not even a launch video on the YT channel. The founder is living easy on VC money. Clever, I suppose.
