I always thought that replicated food, if not all replicated materials, decay after a certain amount of time, but that's not really a problem for food since it'll be fully digested and out of the body before decay sets in. Imagine if you have to transport weekly to keep from starting to fall apart.

Tonight I watched my blind cat stalk, catch and eat a flying insect. I did not get a good look at it. Could have been a moth or a beetle. Rusty orange in color. Not really any significant source of food but she seemed to enjoy it.

One of my favorite things about being back in Norway is the food. I can get breaded fish or chicken and it'll often be gluten free because*why not* and also it'll be crispier and tastier than traditional wheat-based breading. Win/win.
