Try looking into Unitarian Universalism. Belief in a God or diety is a personal decision. Sometimes a church or congregation is a group with shared beliefs and goals. Those need not be doctrine based.

There are welcoming religions. As a Unitarian Universalist we’ve been active in desegregation and LGBTQ+ acceptance. We keep a rainbow flag in front and have a pride flag either on the side entry or it was mounted on the scaffolding during a recent project.

When his cabinet starts getting impeached, I expect him to take a trip to Saudi Arabia and resign while there. He needs to be out of country to avoid charges when his time is up. His dying before resigning is also certainly possible. I’m aware many think he is too narcissistic to resign and hide.

The level of coding only enough to make it work with no interest in making it efficient is such a change in philosophy. My dad started programming in 1957. Early on he got one run of his code every other Saturday, such a change in developer attention to detail.

I miss having people write efficient code and caring about performance. I spent a whole lot of time writing C and C++, implementing protocol stacks and device driver work - where every line can make a difference.

I’m not on favor of term limits, we want experts in how government runs. I could possibly get behind a term limit of 24 years, enough time to build some good institutional knowledge but not end up with someone who has lost their cognition. This doesnt stop stupidity(Tuberville) but thats on voters.
