Kona @kona.moi · 29/09/2026Favorite stops were reset with the new version (due to changes in how IDs work), but the feature still exists! Tap and hold on one from the list under the map, or tap the three dots with a stop view open. You can even still give it a name like before. 010
Kona @kona.moi · 15/09/2026Ah I understand now. This is a known bug, I'll have a patch out shortly. 110
Kona @kona.moi · 15/09/2026In the Settings tab, go to Map Features (very top) then scroll to "Show stop name/time on map" to enable this. There are some new options, "both only when zoomed close" is the same as previous behavior. 000
Kona @kona.moi · 15/09/2026The list button (second one up) has this! It's essentially the same as it used to be. 100
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Today, there are some improvements and tweaks, but on the whole it should be very similar to how it was before. If I've broken something for you, please let me know and I'll look into it. (I've heard a lot about timetables—coming back soon, I promise!) 400
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026I can't emphasize enough how much the new backend is going to change the development story—I used to have to implement new features 4 times in 3 different languages, then separately deploy across 2 backend applications and 1 database *per region*. It was painstaking and fragile. That's all gone. 400
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026The old version worked *mostly* great, but its biggest problem was that it just didn't scale well, which made it difficult for me to add new features. I've focused the last couple years on getting this new version ready. Now that it's here, the pace of updates will pick up fast. 100

Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Thanks—looking at the migration path, I think that might fail for some people in a way that makes it think it was turned off. I'll get this fixed for other users, I appreciate you flagging it! 010
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Thank you! This started even before iOS 26; a system redesign in the middle of a rewrite was quite the surprise for sure. 000
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026The Follow Vehicle toggle is a tricky case. Like FlightRadar24, I opted to keep it active, but felt disabling the map was a better experience (FR24 just bounces). Stop names + ETAs are enabled by default—the only way it should be off is if you had it off in the previous version. Is this possible? 100
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Yes, the filter (and presets) is just for realtime vehicles, it doesn't affect the More tab. I'm planning a larger restructure of all of this alongside new features down the line. From a selected vehicle, you can tap the clock icon and choose the route to jump right to it, if that's helpful to you. 010
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026The realtime data in blocks is a known regression. This was something I compromised on—the previous version had its own, more severe bugs, so it was worth it to me to trade a larger problem for a smaller one. This will come back soon, probably update after next. 010
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Layovers are a tricky one: The word "layover" there was never quite right, since the bus might be deadheading elsewhere. This can't be determined reliably with the data agencies publish, so I landed on "just a number," which looks awkward on its own line so I put it where it is now. 200
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026I had to rewrite a lot of the app for this update, I'm sure there's some detailed functionality I dropped along the way. I'll have searching by block in the next patches (for iOS, it's actually there but a recent iOS behavior change is hiding it). Please let me know if you see anything else missing! 100
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026I changed to alphabetical sorting of agencies as I'd heard (particularly in regions with a lot of agencies) the sorting was confusing, since it was somewhat arbitrary. You can filter to just TriMet if that helps your use case. 200
Kona @kona.moi · 14/09/2026Hi! I appreciate the feedback. I'd love to hear more about what's creating that feeling for you. For what it's worth, I view Pantograph as being in the middle: approachable for everyday riders with core features of transit apps, but also deep enough to surface ops data for those who want it. 100
