I'm sorry, I have no chill about this, but I have a story coming out in Reactor on Nov 11 called "The Next Closest Thing". When your mom is in hospital for maybe the last time, she orders a clone to comfort you. But there's something not quite right and anyway, she doesn't get the Pagliacci joke.

When I tell folks I work on a virtual convention, they get an image of like maybe 16 hours, spread out over two days. Perhaps two dozen speakers. All about writing. They don't get FoF. They don't understand 60 continuous hours of programming, 243 program items, 168 speakers, 8 program tracks.

Earlier this week I got a rejection on a query I sent in October 2021. 4 years and 7 months has to be SOME kind of record, right? It beats my personal best (worst) of a 536 day short fiction rejection. Fellow writers, please share your longest waits to get a rejection! I am curious.
