American evangelicalism isn’t so much a religion as a lifestyle brand for right-wing authoritarianism. But insofar as it still pretends to be taking guidance from the scriptures it projects its rancid politics into, Jesus is sort of inconvenient. Doesn’t sound much like Trump or Andrew Tate.

“Man to man…” can’t you see how this woman clearly killed herself and made it look like a murder and her motivation was that I didn’t make her change her vehicle tires? Women don’t have eyes, man. We don’t see to change our own tires when treads are low, so obviously that would motivate murder.

It’s like every author who read Gone Girl thought it was a brilliant trope. We produced thousands of books with this same plot over a few years. It’s not brilliant. It’s just the same DARVO shit survivors already live, treated with the same undue credibility that male abusers are given in life.
