That is true, but my point of advice would be: do not underestimate a flat IF tube. If the mixer or detector are very low emission, the receiver will never perform like it was designed to. It can make a big difference, only if you do listen to those bands tho obviously.

Lots of RF/IF mixer tubes with the opaque continious metal cylinder it seems. Most likely some heptodes/hexodes. I'd be more interested to find any exotics in there hehehe.
