Much like the GatEx, which is even more pointless than HEx, it is time to discuss the future of this. Charging normal fare levels on a half-hourly express service = a fast service which continues to provide some reserve capacity to the Liz Line and free up two extra paths on the Up/Down Main for GWR

I enjoy travelling with DB. Things go wrong. But my last few trips in Germany have been really punctual, easy to get a seat, had something nice to eat and drink on board. And kudos to the staff having to deal with when it goes wrong!

It seems that one of the [very few] good things about the summer we've just had: up to the 27th Sept, Germany produced 90.2TWh of electric by solar... In 2025 a total of 90TWh was produced. Lots of sunshine + more solar arrays 🥰

This is actually really good advice. When I went to look at the website for the Outlet Park near Ashford, the link in Google Maps didn't work. Why? Because there was a source identifier on the end. Took it out, link worked fine.

I spent most of Friday stood by Holborn station for a charity event. How [and why] anyone would want to even drive within Central London baffles me. Or within the North/South Circular either... It's just horrid. I'm not sure you create wealth sat in traffic jams. Lampl is just strange.

From last night at Crewe, but what does SOWC mean when interposed in one of the signal berths? In a signal box, you can tell where a train is because it has activated the “track circuit” - in Crewe’s case by the steel wheels causing a circuit through the rail, which has current running through it
