according to aonuma, the Zelda remake’s goal was to be part realistic and part nostalgia for the original game, so I would make the argument they aren’t based on puppets, but instead the reason they have high angled eyes and strong pointed features is because they’re based on the in-game N64 models

As neat as this is, I will never trust Nintendo to deliver on any cross-game lore revelations ever again after totk lmao. This shit is 100% just “why? Idk we thought it was cool”

The “Big 3” gaming platforms are actually Nintendo, PC and a Chinese emulation device of your choosing.

I hope the next mainline zelda looks exactly like ocarina of time remake and I'm so sorry if this changes how you see me I just have to be true to myself. All I want is my unreal engine 5 Link to be doing a substantially new series of things. That's all I ever wanted.

I'm most interested in Ocarina of Time's apparent fascination with a more logically constructed world. A floating platform is replaced with a crumbling bridge. A ladder suspended by nothing is held in place by a stone mechanism. I'm curious to see if the whole world abides by this design.

Hey as an artist it's really fucking cool and awesome that "looks like AI slop" has become such a normalized insult for works created by humans. Fuck off.

the animations look so damn smooth, and it has a sort of miniature garden feeling to it. it's detailed not neccesarily realistic, I think it's kinda awesome
