When I was at Amex, we had a huge data center in Phoenix. The team that ran it was super proud that they could and did switch to battery backup and generators to prevent city-wide brownouts during heatwaves. These aren’t new problems, it’s a lack of political will.

I think in-n-out gets a bad rap because of when the hype began and how far we’ve come with burgers. If you compare it to other fast food restaurants of the late 90s, it’s killing it. And it’s idiosyncrasies make visits very nostalgic. Is it the best burger? No. Is it trash? No, you’re trash.
