discord casually admitting they know that nobody wanted the age verification implemented and trying to be funny about it is seriously something that the pr team should reflect on and really study when they lose a lot of nitro subs in this next week

When it was CollegeHumor I always found it to be the occasional goofy fun, but Dropout within the past couple years has meant a lot to me. It's my comfort watch, it's my background noise, it feels genuine like no other streaming service does and I hope they make a thousand seasons of Game Changer

September was abysmal for my creative stuff, so little gamedev and writing due to illness and the work that pays me. I just need to make it six more weeks before I can start on my escape plan though... Anything after that at my job will just be extra buffer for after I leave

A little bit of a subskeet, but... just because an artist has provided a sketch of something, that does NOT mean the final work is AI-free. It's trivial for grifters to have the theft machine generate believable sketch and lineart variants of an image.

I worked at Wild Waves for two summers operating roller coasters (and cleaning up barf), and while it's not the most amazing theme park, even the "worst" theme park is better than the AI data center that will be built on the land after it closes this year www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpwi...

it's gonna get hacked in like 3 days and everyone's verification materials that discord insists they don't keep is gonna get leaked. I fear that even if we had alternatives, nobody would move. Maybe if it screws enough people, maybe? everyone's so baked into this service though

You know who we need most when companies overreach and desperately need reminding of their place? People who are already spending their cash on said company. I would love to start a Cancel Your Nitro Membership and Pass Along the Sentiment train. Just cancelled mine. Join me ✨ 🌹

Discord is going to reintroduce Global Age Verification, which restricts teen accounts.
Teens will face several limitations:
- Blocked access to NSFW channels and servers
- Sensitive media automatically blurred in chats and direct messages
- Mandatory message requests for incoming texts
- Restricted speaking access in Stage Channels
To lift these restrictions, unverified adults can confirm their age via one of the following options:
- Credit Card checks via k-ID x Stripe
- Official ID through k-ID
- Selfie
- Google Wallet

It really sucks not posting any story pages for like a whole month thanks to work stupidity, but that may be quieting down at least enough that I can try to finish this chapter out this month, it's only 3-4k words if I do it right...

Juno @juno.luckyraven.cc · 17/08/2026

I'm going to try to use this silly pointless business trip I'm on to write the rest of my latest chapter so it's ready by the end of the month. I've been so busy lately with the work that gives me money, and its takes time to move things from brain to paper...
