$2 million a year would cover the salaries of approximately 40 writing instructors (paid a reasonable, but still low wage). I would love to do a John Henry v. the steam shovel experiment to see which has superior effects, whatever this initiative discovers, or 40 additional writing instructors.

We've received a letter officially cutting out IMLS funding. We expect to get a similar cut letter from the National Endowment for the Humanities for a $250,000 capital grant, and we have a $3.6 million grant from the EPA to support construction of our Interpretive Center, which has been frozen.
