I read some of Jason Arday's work over the last few days and studied the events leading up to his death a bit and wrote about it at @flaminghydra.com. I hope people will talk about this man and his career more and more, in years to come. r.i.p. flaminghydra.com/issue-632/
Again, even if Jason Arday had been the biggest liar going, the horrorshow that led to his death is a stain on members of the press in both the U.S. and U.K., who were so eager to follow the lead of racists and charlatans. But I should hate to see a scholar who made important and necessary contributions to his field remembered only as a victim of the very racism he sought to fight against with knowledge and understanding.
