The OO Gauge USATC S160 will be taking a voyage soon, so we have got one of our staff members to have a crack at weathering a painted sample. He’s matched the only colour wartime reference photo that we had, and we think it looks incredible. What do you think? Will you be weathering yours?

A few years ago I managed to get hold of the fantastic book on American shortlines called Mixed Train Daily, decided to make a bit of a love letter to it based on my save in Railroader... #trains

Useless Shelby trivia Because she is a single ended car, she can't swap ends like Sparky, Roger, etc She actually uses her own rear view mirrors and help from the conductor to avoid bumping into anything. She doesn't like backing up, though, her gears growl reluctantly
