i been working for a few months on a mecha game, lots of customization between mech parts (1440 combinations between head, frame and leg parts) and a bunch of weapons (around 90 different ones), simple fast combat mechanics, some actual out of mech roleplay mechanics and lots of stuff

but yeah, some basic geometry work replaces lots of mechanical complexity while allowing for 4 separate habs in 2 counter rotating hammer pairs that could give almost the same area as a full ring while being protected by the cargo hold itself when you lock them into place in a cross-cut manner

yesterday i realized at 4am that pulling hammer habs into the ship to protect them would be mechanically hard, too over engeeniered and overall annoying to live in, so i spent until morning rethinking how they should work

trying to decide on the posible mechanics of light-sails in short, spend energy and they let you move a ship (with the upgrade) one extra space if they are in the correct position and alignment still not decided on the total range they can "affect" a ship from, either only 1 or 2

finished the booklet for the new faction, its a bit messy as it has a full page of unique rules but thats needed for the faction's intended playstyle wont post it yet, i want to do some work first on the main rules, finally fix the movement system add a few new things and finally get a proper cover
