Working with bots @lupo@mastodon.de made an interesting discovery: At least for German media, someone - if not Wsocial itself - is using bots to promote the so-called social media to the readers of newspapers & other media outlets in the letters to the editors / commentary section #wsocial #tech

Dabei sollte man schon genauer hinschauen: netzpolitik.org/2026/soziale...

I recently had the privilege of speaking with Geert Lovink about my book Kybernetik und Kritik (Cybernetics and Critique @suhrkamp.de). It is certainly the longest and most in-depth interview about the book so far, and participating in it was a great pleasure: networkcultures.org/geert/2026/0...

"Flood the german zone!" (2024) #Musk #X #cartoon #karikatur

Just read that Estland is planning to give "AI"-Agents E-IDs comparable to the IDs people get. The fact that "AI" as a narrative is used to undermine human rights and dignity in order to allow even more creep of non-democratic technology into our lives is really undeniable these days.

[III/III] I really wonder about all the #people who joined #wsocial Most of #W social's claims are wrong, but people got excited about the network and joined anyway Maybe we should talk about a #socialmediaban for #polititicans and economic leaders…

Anna Zeiter bringt Twitter-Alternative W Social

People love historical what if scenarios. What if JFK was never assassinated? What if the Nazis won in WW2? A scenario I never see discussed is what if the aids crisis didnt decimate the gay men of America in the 80s-90s? Its easy to forget 1 in 15 gay boomer men died. An estimated 300,000 deaths-
