So while we are sharing stories about how utterly useless JSPs are let me share a few anecdotes. I'm currently under-employed & still required to deal with these fuckers. I've had 2 appointments. First impression - I'm sat in a waiting room with stained carpet & chairs.

Another major problem. You can save a lot of money by using an AI assistant instead of a human. But then you are not training anyone to take up principal roles. AI threatens the death of informal apprenticeship.

And the answer that hit me hardest came from a quiet econ major, who said, "The joy of losing control."

The architects of Robodebt are still sitting pretty. The NACC has made two findings of corruption, but those who should shoulder the blame for one of the biggest scandals in Australian history remain unscathed. Cold comfort to the thousands of people whose lives were destroyed.

Robodebt flourished because of a political & media culture that stigmatises income support recipients. It was a failure in public sector leadership & culture in key departments. Labor must implement all 57 recommendations of the Robodebt RC to ensure Robodebt never happens again.
