I have been laughing at this for 15 minutes. This is proof people know nothing about Africa. 2026 Egypt alone could solo 1939 Europe, much less all of 2026 Africa.

PC gaming is cooked. Nvidia is effectively pulling out of PC hardware and has been for almost a year. I hope this bubble pops and Nvidia is forced to face the music.

Just spent the past three hours playing Ace Combat 8. It runs surprisingly well for me, what with it having such high requirements on the store page. At 1440p high preset, I've had zero issues running the game.

Got Ace Combat 8, just to play the copy of Ace Combat 0 that comes with the pre-order. Considering the hardware requirements for AC8, I'll probably not touch it for a while since I'm not sure I'll be able to run it consistently well.

Sitting around a Discord server, waiting on a second opinion for a 1 million word web serial called Stray Cat Strut. I was reading it as it came out a few years ago, then fell behind and dropped it. There is a semi-negitive review on the top of the review page, so I don't know if I should try it.

It's update day for World of Tanks, and my wise decision to pre-grind the Shugo has paid off. I got the tank as soon as servers opened. It's overall a fun tank. The rocket allows for double tapping if a tank you just shot has low HP after the main shell's damage.

It is still wild to me that ever since I switched from Windows to Linux, the ever present bi-weekly computer issues™ have dissappeared completely. I used to have new issues and hardware problems every week on Windows. And this was *before* Microsoft started putting LLMs into every corner of it.

GTA 6 feels less like a game and more some kind of totem for a certain kind of dying gamer identity, that cannot economically or culturally sustain itself anymore. it represents a million different things and seemingly the least important of them is that it is an open world mission based video game

Permissions in an OS are meant to be sacrosanct. You *do not* go around them. You *do not* install something without informing the user. Silent installs are their own kind of malware. For a commercial hardware manufacturer to violate that basic tenet of trust is grounds for blacklisting.

LG monitors are now prompting Windows to download and install their "monitor app" without asking user permission, and it's happening with monitors as old as three years. I've never heard of anything like this with a piece of hardware that wasn't a criminal attempt to access a computer.
