I mean this *is* the basic problem on City Council right?
We have six progressive councilors actually capable of finding creative,
scrappy compromises, and six other councilors who represent the half of Portland that's pissed off they finally have to care about literally anyone but themselves.
@counciloravalos.bsky.socialI walked into these negotiations believing that's what we were trying to do. I leave them believing we have fundamentally different definitions of what compromise means.
