If you thought eggs were expensive, wait until you find out how much it costs to treat polio out-of-pocket when your health insurer denies your claim.

All milk sampling to date routinely shows 7+ logs of infectious virus per mL in samples from infected cows. Very glad this raw milk was recalled because I cannot emphasize enough what a bad idea it is for people to drink high titer H5N1.

Wait, wait, wait... so Ubisoft Montréal, 15 days before releasing the first Assassin's Creed, released an open-world Naruto game? Exclusive to the Xbox 360? And you can freestyle hand seals with the analog sticks? WTF

The deeper you look into this wonderful new JWST image, the more there is to see. Nearby stars, scenes of celestial birth farther away, galaxies everywhere in the background. Energy and action in play everywhere. 🧪🔭 esawebb.org/news/weic2425/
A star cluster is shown inside a large nebula of many-coloured gas and dust. The material forms dark ridges and peaks of gas and dust surrounding the cluster, lit on the inner side, while layers of diffuse, translucent clouds blanket over them. Around and within the gas, a huge number of distant galaxies can be seen, some quite large, as well as a few stars nearer to us which are very large and bright.A star cluster is shown inside a large nebula of many-coloured gas and dust. Wake up nerds, new JWST image ✨ The first candidate brown dwarfs were detected outside of our galaxy! Star cluster NGC 602 resides within a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way around 200,000 light years away. 📸: ESA/NASA/CSA; P. Zeidler, E. Sabbi, A. Nota, M. Zamani
Golden and orange blobs of gas form a circle near the center of the image. A haze of rainbow colors lies over the nebula. The rest of the image is covered with stars and smaller background galaxies 🔭

It’s #AsexualAwarenessWeek! I’m an ace/aro author who’s been publishing for a long time, but only relatively recently have I allowed myself to be vulnerable enough to write ace characters. It’s been deeply liberating. Here’s a little thread of my stories with explicitly ace characters.

can we start calling followers kaleidoscopes or kaleids for short? I think that'd be so cute since that's what groups of butterflies are called
