Again, we have rules that prohibit a president from selling out an American ally and going against the stated wishes of our Congress. However, the only enforcement mechanism is Republicans voting for impeachment and that won't happen because it's the entire party that's seditious, not just him.

Lots of talk since 2024 among certain consultants about how the Electoral College gets hopeless for Dems after 2030 when the "blue wall" Midwest states no longer have enough votes to deliver an EC majority. But all EC bias predictions depend on Texas being a close but dependable Republican state.

I did some back of the envelope Electoral College math and the GOPs advantage depends entirely on Texas. If Texas is no longer reliably red, the Dems have a clear advantage going forward

If republicans have to defend Texas, their resources will be strained. There is *no* path to the presidency for them without Texas. They would have to moderate (which they won't do) or be locked out of power for a generation at least. This could lead to the death of the EC.
