hi students on the job market: i cannot stress enough that you should write your cover letter yourself. you would be shocked at how genetic and boring LLM-generated cover letters are, despite seeming sophisticated. we want to hear from *you*! applicants who do this stand out!

We are finally putting the final touches on an operationally complete mapping of regulatory DNA via DNase I in both human (>4,000 samples) and mouse. To interact with the samples we created this neat browser interface complete with a chatbot!

rarely in my career have I been as stressed as I am now: on the (extremely competitive) faculty job market, with a toddler, trying to get an extension on my K99 so I don't lose my R00, while NIH is stretched thin, grant reviews are delayed, and funding is very scarce.

really interesting & intuitive imho -- not all proteoforms are created equal! evidence here that a BRCA2 variant that results in expression of a truncated protein (missing DBD but retaining NTD) is a dominant negative regulator of WT BRCA2, likely via partner sequestration
