I finally experienced the brain melting of AI in person today: A girl in Starbucks who definitely wasn’t older than the kids I teach (8th) said to her friends “I asked ChatGPT if I should order an açaí refresher.” Moments later: Her friend sitting next to her didn’t know what a graphic novel was.

Undocumented people were blamed for this cyclospora outbreak on plenty of right wing news stations because of the lack of sanitation and bathroom breaks or facilities that *their bosses* forego to maximize profit. But nobody progressive seems to be aiming their outrage at the CEOs.

I actually think the trillionaire saying his AI tool will remake a movie without the Black and trans actors in it should be a bigger story because it’s a perfect example of why the ruling class wants AI to succeed: so they can remake reality without those they deem undesirable - every nazi’s dream.
