On the eve of the by-election, your Labour party spokesperson has admitted to the Huffington Post that a
Labour party leaflet has been delivered through doors with your imprint recommending a vote for Labour
by a tactical voting organisation which does not exist.
This is deeply troubling, it is actually lying to voters. Did you approve this? Do you feel the Labour Party
in government should be held to different standards in terms of honesty to the British public?
In your last letter to me you mentioned your ‘very extensive data’ and ‘having spoken to over a third of
eligible voters’ which led you to an understanding that the by election ‘was a contest between labour and
Reform’. Clearly this latest development only tells voters one thing - you will employ any type of
political deception (or in Urdu “Dhoka” ) to win.
You will be very aware that all three real tactical voting organisations are recommending a vote for the
Greens as the best way to stop Reform. Lying to the voters, as you have been caught doing, raises the real
prospect that Reform will be the beneficiaries, something you have said that you don’t want.
As this is such an important issue, for the sake of your own reputation, I would strongly urge you to
apologise to the voters of Denton and Gorton before the polls open in the morning.”

What you have to understand is that Carbon Capture and Storage is driven not by environmental concerns but by fossil fuel industry demands. It provides both a new revenue stream (at our expense) and the mother of all greenwashing schemes. Whether it works or not (it doesn't) is entirely irrelevant.

I'd argue that setting out the retrospective stripping of ILR, and plans for mass, ICE-style arrests, detentions and deportations, is a moment of some risk for Reform, despite immigration being their main policy focus, if and when voters realise what it will mean in practice.

Reform's plan for a 'British ICE' combines cruelty with stupidity

Project forward to 2036 under a majority Reform government and the picture darkens further. Britain would be smaller, older and whiter; more isolated from Europe; paradoxically, more vulnerable to foreign interterence and less able to fund its own defence.
The welfare state would shrink to a skeleton. Charity would fill the gaps.
Flags would proliferate; rights would not. The police and courts would be politicised. The BBC could disappear.
The NHS would survive only as a minimal safety net. Protections against discrimination would erode - you might indeed be sacked for being disabled.
Migrants and even their British-born children could find their rights curtailed unless they were deemed to
"contribute" sufficiently. Meanwhile, the wealthiest would enjoy a generous, low-tax regime.

Snippet of Byline Times, November 2025, pointing out how the British mainstream media has created a "perfect circle of self-perpetuating hype" around Nigel Farage, i.e. how his prominence in MSM feeds his popularity which in turn justifies further coverage, and so on. The fuss over who appears in TV adverts misses the point...

Adverts aren't meant to be a mirror of society, but to reflect the advertiser's openness to society as a whole.

A photo of 10 people, including one in a wheelchair, doesn't say 10% of the UK are in wheelchairs, but it does signify that people in wheelchairs are welcome at the venue.

Likewise adverts showing men as nursery teachers, women as builders, Asian people down the pub etc -- it's saying "you're welcome here, join us". And yes, that means including black people in adverts shown in parts of the UK where they are a minority.

Too often we hear that people grew up avoiding something because they never saw people like them doing it -- and adverts that show the diversity of society fix that visibility problem by saying "yes, you can do this if you want".

Isn't that a good thing?

I do love the idea of a new left party, since labour is no longer what it once was. But, to echo the concerns of many here, I question the wisdom of starting a whole new party when the Greens already have the infrastructure. Still, I don't doubt you'll be smart and avoid taking votes away from them.
