There was a scare a couple of months ago but it was finally time to say goodbye. My best friend for the last 15 years has crossed over & I’m broken. Totally bereft. She was my reason to laugh every day & my constant companion on walks, on the couch, & while trying to work. Can’t fathom life without.

This strikes me as a misunderstanding of the millennial/Gen Z grievance. I don’t think people expect no hardship. I think they expect (because they were promised it) that their lives would be an improvement on their parents’. Millennials will be the first generation worse off than their parents.

I’m in the midst of the final fight & hoo boy. Completely un-Pokemon. It’s repetitive, tedious, ignores the fundamentals of the game. Type doesn’t matter, just spam enough health items & keep wailing on the enemy & you’re done. Massively disappointing finale with little consideration for gameplay.

I was kinda hoping as I reached the end of Pokémon ZA it would come together more but it really hasn’t. Some of the NPCs are fun but the game feels super repetitive and shallow. I adored Arceus, pimples and all, and unfortunately this feels like an unworthy successor.

While Arceus was a little janky, I appreciated the unique setting, the crafting mechanics, and that the world felt interesting and engaging. I miss a lot of the little things they tried back then and feel like Nintendo really hates the features I like.

I’m enjoying Pokemon ZA, but it feels like a rather soulless game. Almost none of the buildings are real or able to be entered. There’s no real hook for the storyline. The city doesn’t have distinct districts with unique architecture or themes. It’s just very bland as a canvas and that’s unfortunate

I work in the film industry. I’ve seen people work 18 to 20 hours a day for extended periods of time. You don’t look like this after doing a 100 hour week. You don’t look as comfortable and rested as Johnson or Trump. Even at 20-22 years old the tired is written on your fucking flesh.
