This year, I walked the Camino in August and September, alone. I met wonderful people along the way, and only encountered a few assholes. Of course, as an older woman, I also tend to be invisible, which is a sort of protection. But I would encourage you to not let a few keep you from your dreams.

The blackmailer, the bully, the mob boss - they all seek to construct a reality that benefits themselves, through making everyone else afraid of them. We need to start asking ourselves, why are we afraid and what can we do about it? What can we do to make the reality where we are not afraid?

You can tell they are atheists because “the top” should mean God and they have no intention of handing any authority over to God. And if they truly believed there was a god, they would rightly fear a god’s punishment for their bad behavior.

His reasons for bombing Iran are about what an evil regime it is. For Cuba, it will be similar. He can’t use those reasons for invading Canada. But he’s going to have to convince the US military there are good reasons. I’m not talking about his puppets at the top, but the actual soldiers.

People want credit for doing good things. If we ask, “if you could save the world but no one would ever know, would you?”, people might say, “no, I wouldn’t bother.” Likewise, they want to be seen as “good people” so they do the right thing, but if no one ever knows, they will do what benefits them.
