A necklace commission I made for a US customer who adores thistles: it started with a Victorian silver thistle flower charm, I made a recycled silver flower bud & thistle leaf, added a facetted peridot & fluorite (I think the natural stripes echo tartan just a little)& a clover-shaped charm holder☘️ :

Garden wildlife. 1/2. Some photos of Fox cubs from today. These first four are of 'white tip', the second in which it's clearly very relaxed! When it move to the position in the 4th photo I noticed movement behind it, and saw a second cub where I didn't expect - see 2/2 for more!

2/2. And that one was curled up asleep in an old bird bath I no longer use because it's cracked and leaks. 'White tip' did subsequently move to sleep close to its sibling, interacting with it a bit too. 🧡🦊🦊 #londonwildlife

On National Poetry Day, here’s a short poem about the power of poetry to change the world.

The Power of Poetry

with things falling apart
and anarchy let loose,

it was only poetry, he found,
which had any use,

so he reached for his copy
of The Complete Works of Yeats

and bludgeoned the President
of the United States
