Here is a fun fact about El Capitan in Texas. This mountain predates the Michigan-Ohio War. And the way we know this is if you look closely at the base, you can see the Toledo strip. And then if you look to the upper left you will see there is no Upper Peninsula. Geology is fascinating!

There are times when a photo simply cannot do justice. That geen salsa LOOKS exactly like the Herdez brand, which I should say is quite good in its own right. Instead, this is clearly what Herdez is trying to imitate. Huevos con nopales a la Mexicana is almost a side dish to the salsas.

I am leaving tomorrow to hike Carlsbad Caverns and the highest point in Texas, Guadalupe Peak. I made an extensive list of hiking supplies and other things to pack, plus tasks to do before I leave. Now the only thing left for me to do is find that list.

Governor Abigail Spanberger quietly ended a rulemaking process initiated in the waning days of former-governor Glenn Youngkin's administration. The rule would have limited transgender students' ability to play sports and use facilities.
But Spanberger said over the weekend the rule is now dead.
Governor Abigail Spanberger told a crowd at Virginia Pridefest Saturday she was moved by the story of a transgender child and the issues their families face.
"And I tell you I burst into tears because of the fact that I want to make members of the

This. I moved away from the Cities 8 years ago. But last winter and spring, every time I traveled to/through the metro, I had a whistle in the pocket of whatever coat I was wearing. Because I knew if I saw something, I couldn't do nothing, but I also hadn't trained for a safe way to do more.
