Our language has been completely warped by Big Tech's algorithms, from a generation that's grown up saying "unalive", to the way everyone's censored themselves talking about the Cornell rapists. It's time to fight back against billionaire control of free speech. www.anildash.com/2026/10/06/k...

2027?! What the fuck? It was released on Chilean theatres last week! A 5-month delay from its original showing for an English dub is beyond incompetence.

all of these vibecoded game mods/decomps/recomps are starting to make me want to hard pivot away from the scene tbh, real motivation killer for me unfortunately. maybe what i need is a break more than anything

I wonder if ASW mean he's the new director for BBCF's upcoming update since the credits roll list Tatsunori Ishikawa for the OG release

Felicitaciones!

Played a little bit of the Castlevania demo. Idk how to feel about it other than the music just sounding like spookytrapbeats.wav

Also, I could come around to the idea of a CV with tougher bosses but not with that bland af BGM. Even the map feels drab. I understand not wanting to do SotN over and over but a bit of gothic flair would've been welcome. This feels as exciting as staring at a UPS pickup branch.

Inb4 skill issue but this demo tells me right away Belmont's Curse isn't for me. The demo boss feels "OoE Blackmore" hard and while that was a fun late-game challenge, this is probably the easiest encounter the game will have. I swear the final lasso locked on to me jumping so I dunno y'all got it 🤷‍♂️

There will never be a better summary of all this than Azur Lane vs Kancolle because the former just finished celebrating 9 years of operation while the latter became the Game of Thrones of weeb spaces (no one brings it up anymore).

There's someone on Twitter modding Trickcal to run on a 3DS and games like it absolutely could've been made before. However, a decade ago, a charming game about chibis would get 4 sequels that never left Japan, but here it took the devs a couple years to find a bigger publisher to help localizing.

I was reminded of LovePlus for the DS/3DS and frankly the past decade of Chinese and Korean gacha dominance can be summarized as: they made available to a worldwide audience gameplay experiences that Japan gatekeept for decades prior.

This game is cheeks (endearing)

Rufo from Trickcal saying "Of course! Master is our friend!"

Beni from Trickcal saying "She (Tig) said she's going to clobber you later anyway, but since you're way weaker than that Joanne jerk, you'll be much easier to deal with..."

Summary of my player milestones for Trickcal's 1st year anniversary
