Then lots of others joined in from both sides. Rovers tend to be fairly graceless and celebrate wins in front of Bohemians supporters, but then a couple of them get a lot of insults during games and probably feel it fair to give some back. But there were several gloating Rovers players last night.

The teams are one anothers' main rivals and last night's match would have a major say in the destination of the league title, so tempers were high. When Rovers' 18 year-old striker (who didn't actually play) started to celebrate in front of Bohemians supporters, the Bohs captain cuffed his head.

They looked absolutely gutted at the end, but they've done well to put it up to teams with a way bigger budget.

We ran out of energy in the second half. You could blame the short turnaround if it hadn't happened a few times recently. Our budget means we're reliant on young or unproven players whose form will waver.

This is written to fly under the radar, from today’s Sunday Independent (Ireland). The press council upheld a complaint about an offensive and transphobic opinion column by Brenda Power. Sindo was required to publish the decision. @mams4transrights.bsky.social @jesalady.bsky.social
A half page article from the Sunday independent with the headline OMB2590 A woman and the Sunday independent.
The article outlines the complaint, the appeal and the decision.
The complaint relates to an opinion column deploring the fact that an unnamed td provided a character reference for a man convicted of sexual violence against children. A sentence in the column argued that this case threw light on the possibility that a man would “identify as a woman” in order to commit sexual violence.
The press council concluded that “a reference to a protected group [trans people] in this context should have been extremely carefully scrutinised”. It found that the Sunday independent was in violation of principle 8 of the press council code of practice.

We should be livid. The article says students are asked to do everything with originals via post (no email when there's no functioning post service?!) and failed for "insufficient evidence of strong obligations to return to your home country". What would that case look like in Gaza right now?!

It could also be thieved 90s clothing. My 13-year old left the house today wearing a Huggy Bear t-shirt. I once tried to play him a clip of them until he screamed to turn it off.
