My Mechanisms artbook from @volhta.bsky.social arrived! I've been following him for a good while, so it's nice to have some of my favourite pieces in my hands.

I've been having hum issues with my electric guitar and bass, which got noticeably worse when I start using a distortion pedal. I tried shielding them with copper tape. That removed some of the hum from the bass, but made no difference to the guitar.

A bass guitar's body which has been opened up. The cavity and underside of the pickguard have been covered with copper tape.

An audio spectrogram, the first sound has has much more noise than the second sound.
