Memory could be wrong but isnt this the conference pitch in House of Cards?

Not to be that guy, but literally they have online and proxy votes from delegates across the entire party and country. This is a representative view. A literal majority view from a majority of delegates.

With the added context of the motion, they are now calling for the establishment of a single Palestinian state in the levant, and the dissolution of the state of Isreal. This is an extremist position outside the bounds of international law. It should be condemned as such.

An intentionally vague, non committal statement, designed as a reference tool to shut down press questions; is not a condemnation of an inherently racist motion that passed with a clear majoirty while the entire parliamentary green party sat and watched.

Again, maybe extremely nievely, but I thought that might have been a mobilisation of supporters and opponents of the motion, to bring the issue to a close.

Ill be honest the main reason I didnt post about the Greens and the Zionism is racism motion, is I didn't think it would pass a conference vote. Grim signal to the entire country of where their leadership is at right now.

I'm astonished by the margins, but not by the support: People are civic minded and practical. It turns out if you explain your reasoning for something, and are trusted to deliver that something, they are willing to support you.

The best thing about the national commission and pledge to change the voting system is conference can now debate interesting stuff that we might disagree on 😅

Listen, they're an investment. You have to understand they gain value. No, no there isn't any proof for this, but why else would one spend such money on something that wont fit on a bookshelf?

My bad, I thought you meant an organisational framwork, not funding model. Agree funding through general taxation alone a bad idea.

Sorry I dont get how an NHS for social care is a fantasy? NHS works as a facilitator for caping costs, shared standards and supply side investment from gov.

Josh Constable 🌹🐝 @joshconstable.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
He's literally doing that in the interview he says everyone will need to pay for it and that its about enforcing better standard of care nationwide.

Josh Constable 🌹🐝 @joshconstable.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Forgive me if I'm wrong here but wasn't the primary issue with the recommendations the proposed cap on costs? Also things have deteriorated considerably in the past 15yrs. With regional variations increasing, and further breakdown of public provision.

Josh Constable 🌹🐝 @joshconstable.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
I dont think people are appreciating the administrative cost of establishing a uniform set of standards, costings and delivery mechanisms would take. We've got a PM who not only cares about this, but is actually across the detail and people are shocked hes not saying it will be quick?

Sorry, did bluesky come up with a plan to fix social care last night? Why is everyone acting shocked Burnham has said the social care fix will take time. Casey report due summer 2027. Why is the idea of delivering changes after the next general election anything other than realistic?

Josh Constable 🌹🐝 @joshconstable.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
There's nothing to stop all parties agreeing to the plans between now and the election, making it becoming a non contested promise in all party's manifestos. Irl it will probably produce a plan all parties agree on (Except Reform, jury out on Tories) with disagreements in how to fund it.

I do find this country mad. Anyone can see that social care is in a state of devastating crisis in this country and that it is the key source of the NHS crisis as well. There is no feasible way to solve it without everyone contributing. Burnham is honest about that and is already getting pelters.

It’s wild that we have an organisation tasked with saving lives and a movement whose members try to commit murder, and large sections of the press treat the question of which one is good and which one is bad as, at best, debatable.

Today, the government has announced it is bringing in statutory bereavement leave for pre-24 week pregnancy loss from next April. This will make a huge difference to women and their partners who experience the pain of losing a pregnancy - and finally recognise it as the bereavement that it is.

Ah so you dont have any experience, you've never been in the labour party or a trade union. You just think socialists might not do well in the party of the Labour movement in the UK, because one ex member of the party was a wrongen.

I've seen some Greens trying to claim Burnham wouldnt be PM without the Green party. Ignoring the mental gymnastics for a moment; I dont understand why people who clearly want to influence Labour would not be in the party.

The misinformation people are already subject to. The total lack of moderation by META. The rise of the far right in the modern world is entirely the responsibility of social media. Its given a place for reprehensible views, society had agreed were unacceptable 10 yrs ago to spread and entrench.

My major concern here isn't actually the donations itself. Its what they will be able to accomplish on an unregulated and, fankly, dangerous social media landscape. Anyone with experience running political ads knows how big a reach a fraction of this could get.

Emily's record in the party, her eagerness to get involved and support CLPs across the region are why she will be a great NPF rep for all of us. My thanks again to every CLP that nominated us. And my apologies to Emily and every trans member being failed by our party. You all deserve better.

Josh Constable 🌹🐝 @joshconstable.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
It speaks volumes to Emily's commitement to the Labour party, and her own character, that one of her first concerns with this was the impact it would have on everyone else, not herself. Despite trying for months to get this resolved privately, there's been no meaningful engagement.

The party is out of step with our members and affiliates with this narrow interpritation of the equality act. I'm proud that my Union demands better. I'm proud of us in Mainstream for demanding better. Should the situation not change, then members must mobalise to change the rules ourselves.

We must ackowledge the deep floors in the current guidance, and the failures of our gov to update legislation. Until parliament corrects these floors, there is nothing, absolutely nothing; that says we cannot re-adopt the inclusive party culture our members want us to have.

I'm proud to be standing with Emily for the NPF. Her commitment to our party, its ideals and standards has been unwavering. I've been so upset to see how Emily has been treated, and the refusal to engage and support her has driven the need to make this public. We are failing the LGBT community.

The outpouring of support I've seen from the community here in Portsmouth for the RNLI yesterday and today has been heartwarming. Social media is a cesspit of a breeding ground for the far right. It does not represent the country or our communities. Only the political aims of its owners.

I'm very depressed that: 'Reform group leader gleefully attends second hate mob, only to go home when they realised they racially profiled the wrong people;' isn't a resignation matter. Madgwick has a history of dodgy behaviour that would have ended poltical careers even 5 years ago.

I really hope today's sanctions will start a cascade from the rest of the democratic world. The two state solution remains our best chance for peace and security in the region, but most importantly the best means to protect the lives of Isrealis and Palestinians.
