For those following, I decided to go. My best friend came from out of town for it so I knew I'd have someone to sit with, which felt safe. A few people approached me and we had nice conversations. Others made eye contact and said nothing. Others didn't seem to notice or recognize me. All was well.

Thoughts on attending a funeral at a church that hurt you? I haven't been in my old church since 2021. Last time I was there was a funeral, and I had a panic attack. A pastor I always liked lost his wife. I'd like to support him and his daughter, who is my age. I just don't know if I can go.

Just learned my first childhood friend died suddenly. She was 34 and left behind two kids (3 and 1.) Found out in the same hour that the wife of a dear pastor friend is on her deathbed, too. They'd been together 40 years. None of us can know our numbered days. Love your people while you can. ❤️

Remember in 2017 when my former pastor told me he wanted our church to be "a safe place for white supremacists" and I told him if we didn't call out Christian Nationalism things were going to get much worse, and he never spoke to me again? Thinking about that for no reason whatsoever.

Hey USA, I just traveled to Canada and had the best experience in an all-gender restroom where I got to pee in complete privacy and washed my hands next to a man without incident because no one is weird or in fear of non-existent attacks from trans folks. We too could have this! Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈

A maintenance guy at the school I'm doing contract work for told my "boss" that I'm doing a great job and I deserve a steak dinner + margaritas when my job is over, and the fact that he's known me two weeks and that's more appreciation than I got from my former boss after two years says a lot 😆
