I believe fraternity hazing and military hazing and sports team hazing where men abuse each other is acclimating them into a broader culture of abuse where they will then believe it is their right to abuse other more vulnerable people. It’s so insidious. And that’s also why I think men defend it

shutting down frat houses won't end rape culture, but it will disorganize a lot of rapists, and i think that's probably worth doing if only to destabilize what is apparently an ecology of organizations that functionally exist to rape women per the whole "purpose of a system is what it does" insight.

Thinking on this more, it would be really cool if the Fire Emblem Warriors game we inevitably get flipped the script and made the other four champions into the main characters. Sort of like how Three Hopes positioned Byleth as the villain.

Having finished Leda's campaign, I think it's safe to say the writing in Fortune's Weave is maybe the best it's ever been in the series. They really let Leda's revenge story go darker than I expected, and while there were weak elements/a few pulled punches, it was way fewer than I expected.

Actually I'm going to say, while it might upset some writing in the genre (specifically men who write women for insta-vulnerable, as if that isn't mega sexist): More horror protagonists should be men who spend a lot of the story screaming and crying and terrified. Let them be vulnerable characters.

And that's season 4 of The Flash rewatched! I stand by enjoying that season, it's a goofy time throughout that fully embraces comic book silliness after the overly dark third season. Also, that's the fifteenth season of the Arrowverse rewatched since I started back in December of 2023.
